Our Love Story

ANNA TSAKALIDOU

I was born and raised in Saint-Jean-De-Maurienne, a small town in the French Alps, and while building my career in Paris, I made the big decision to move to Dubai to build the company I had always dreamed of – without realizing that I was also about to start the most important journey of my life. Somewhere between work and settling into a new routine, I met Anna, and my life took an even more exciting turn. I never thought I’d end up learning Greek – and yet here I am, trying to speak it so I can talk to her family and better understand her world.

A Frenchman with Italian roots, living in Dubai and marrying a Greek woman – not exactly a typical life story, but definitely the best one I could have imagined.

I was born and raised in Polykastro, a small town in northern Greece. From a young age, I loved traveling and dreamed of seeing the world – never imagining that one day this dream would actually become my job. That’s how I made the big decision to move to Dubai and become a flight attendant.

Somewhere between new beginnings, suitcases, and time zone changes, I met Adrien – the Frenchman who stole my heart.

I soon realized that if I wanted to be part of his world, I’d need to learn more French  than just “je t’aime.” So today I’m learning it with a lot of patience and determination – not just to communicate, but to get closer to his family and friends, to share their moments, and to truly feel part of his world.

Somewhere between flights, business plans, mixed-up languages, and a lot of love, we decided to say the most beautiful “yes” – in the one language everyone understands: the language of the heart.

With immense joy and love, we are thrilled to invite you to celebrate our wedding.

Surrounded by family and friends from all around the world, we can’t wait to share this unforgettable moment with you under the Greek sun of Thessaloniki, between tradition, laughter, and celebration.

Travel & Recommendations

Weather in August is warm and sunny, often above 30°C.

Dress code: elegant summer attire. Light fabrics are recommended.

Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG) is well connected to many European cities. If there is no direct flight to Thessaloniki, most itineraries include a short connection via Athens International Airport (ATH). Taxis and ride services are easily available from the airport to the city center.

We recommend staying in or near the city center of Thessaloniki on August 17th and 18th. There are plenty of accommodation options available on Booking.com, covering a wide range of budgets and styles. Don’t hesitate to contact us directly if you want some recommendations.

For those who wish to extend their stay in Greece for Vacation

If you wish to take this opportunity to enjoy summer vacation in Greece before or after the wedding , keep in mind that Thessaloniki itself is not a typical summer destination (no beach). However there are plenty of great destinations for every taste. Below you will find some of our recommendations.

A few tips about Greek traditional dances

While we will dance and celebrate to international music, be ready to experience traditional Greek dances as well. If you’d like to practice before the big day, many fun and easy tutorials are available on YouTube.
